Jay has over 25 years of experience working experience working in the marketing and advertising industry. He is skilled in Consumer Products, Brand Management, Commerce Activation, Digital Media, Marketing Strategy and Integrated Marketing.

Prior to joining Optimad, Jay spent the last 8 years at Mirum (WPP agency) where most recently he was the leader of the Commerce Activation agency practice.  At Mirum he built teams and capabilities focused on Social Media, Performance Marketing, Promotions, CRM and Commerce.  Prior to Mirum, Jay spent 17 years at Unilever in sales, shopper marketing and brand management roles. For a majority of his career he worked in the deodorants category marketing Axe, Degree, Dove and Suave brands. Jay was part of the management team that successfully launched Axe Body Spray in the U.S. market and also served as the Director of Field Shopper Marketing, where his teams were responsible for brand activation across all retailers and channels. In his last role as Director of Brand Building he managed $1B in business, where all four brands experienced double-digit growth. After leaving Unilever, Jay spent two years at Beam Global Spirits & Wine as the Vice President General Manager of the Cognac, Scotch & Canadian Whisky business unit.

Jay is a graduate of the University of Iowa and received his MBA from DePaul University. He currently lives in Chicago, has been happily married for 20+years and has four children.
